Workplace Inspection Example

A workplace inspection is a structured check of a workplace to assess whether it meets safety, health, and quality standards. The purpose of a workplace inspection is to identify risks in a timely manner, prevent accidents and continuously improve the working environment.
During the inspection, work equipment, working methods, order and cleanliness and compliance with procedures are assessed, among other things.
The benefit of this is that organizations can intervene proactively, limiting absenteeism, damage and loss of production.
A good workplace inspection example is important, because a clear workplace inspection helps to establish objective control points and ensures a uniform approach within the organization.
That is why a practical example of workplace inspection is often sought that serves as a guide for inspectors and contributes to demonstrable compliance with internal and external requirements.

Don't start with the worksite inspectionform right away. In order to carry out a good workplace inspection , a number of conditions must be met. The most important conditions for a workplace inspection are:

  1. Planning inspections tailored to critical safety aspects

  2. Sufficiently trained and independent inspectors

  3. Support from management

  4. Sufficient preparation

  5. Asking questions in interviews for sufficient depth

  6. Effective reporting with a focus on improvements

  7. Workplace inspections are used as a management tool

Forms can be made for the registrations in a workplace inspection : planning inspections or inspection schedule, workplace inspection program, inspection report, deviation (non-conformity). Something needs to be registered at the various points in the inspection process. A form is then simply necessary.

It starts with a workplace inspection schedule or inspection schedule, when should which process, workplace or department be inspected. An inspection programme or questionnaire must be available for each inspection . The inspection results are again included in an inspection report or report. If a VCA / safety criterion is not met, this must be reported: a deviation or observation.  The manager (the person responsible for the workplace) must respond to such a deviation with an improvement proposal.

By recording the workplace inspections directly in a digital form, this data is also immediately available. Graphs or tables immediately show the progress. It is also immediately clear where the bottlenecks are and management can anticipate them.

What are the inspection results per location? Which inspector carries out which inspection and when? And what are the results, of course. What about the progress of the inspections per region or location?
'To measure is to know', after all.

Different people therefore play a role in the inspection process. This not only requires a digital workplace inspection form to which several people have access, but also have an active role with their own responsibilities. With a workflow, you enforce a good inspection process. Depending on the flowstep, those involved take action.  A workflow is a nice addition to a digital workplace inspection form.

With Infoware , you can design your own inspection forms, in terms of layout AND workflow. The data remains in your own environment and the inspection process is transparent. To know how it works: Click here.  Tip: use the photo upload element right away.
